After reading about it in one of our guide books, we stopped by Hole-in-One Donuts in Cape Cod. Just entering the cafe, we were greeted by a typical donut shop wall – like the ones in Tim Horton’s or Dunkin’ Donuts. However, the donuts were not your average uniform pastries. These were large, irregular hunks of fried dough, completely home-made looking. Of course we couldn’t resist!
We got a box of six assorted donuts, including Boston Cream Pie, Sour Cream, Coconut, and Honey Glaze.. They were made with a variety of doughs, one more cakey and tender, the other chewy and yeasty. All were delicious! We only ran in to get the donuts, but the brunch menu looks delectable too! I’d love to try Nanny’s Eggs Benedict, the poached eggs on potato pancakes with hollandaise sauce.
