Our Saint John friends took us to visit the bright and airy Saint John City Market for lunch. The market was small (compared to the Saint Lawrence Market in Toronto), but it was pretty much packed with food, drink, and art. There was also a colourful display of butterflies hanging from the rafters, created by hundreds of local students.
For lunch, a few of us ate delicious shawarmas that even added French fries to the filling (which is what we were used to growing up in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). I bought a small bag of dulse, and I ogled the fresh seafood, the cheeses, and fresh produce. Wanting to try local coffee, we bought drinks at Java Moose (such a Canadian name!).
