Minted is an online community of independent artists and designers from around the world. There’s a handy little map on their website pinpointing the location of all the artists across the globe. Minted offers a variety of stationery goods, including save the date cards, invitations, holiday cards, business cards, art prints, and even fabric and wrapping paper. As a design marketplace, Minted hosts design challenges where artists make submissions which are then voted on, and the winners are featured and available for sale on the website. I found the beautiful scalloped-edged card above with a cute customize-able flower burst emblem. This would be a great little card to include with a gift for someone special.
We love getting and sending letters and postcards, and pretty stationery is always inspiring. When we lived in Saudi Arabia, the whole postal issue was iffy – we would basically need a miracle in order to receive a letter sent within 2 months. And with all our international friends and family, it was always fun to see the interesting stamps on the letters themselves. Even now, I love individually selecting a card meant for a specific person.
Minted also has some lovely fabric available. The beautiful design above is called Deco and is available in a variety of colour combinations. It would make a lovely pillowcase or some curtains, or even as part of a quilt.
We credit our upbringing in Saudi Arabia for our attraction to anything that is described as arabesque. The charming card above has a cute corner design and can be personalized, as we did.
