I have two red and white wooden barstools that sit at the pass-through counter between my living room and the kitchen. After a few years of use, however, they are beginning to fall apart, and I’ve been on the hunt for two nice counter-height stools. I wanted the pass-through to be counter-height so that it would be an extra workspace for when I cook, but I’ve found that counter-height stools, around 24 inches or 61 cm high, are more difficult to find than regular bar-height stools, which are around 30 inches or 76 cm high. I also like stools to have no back, or at least a very low back. If a stool has a back, doesn’t that make it just a high chair?
Most of the barstools above have relatively clean lines and simple shapes, which I like. Even though I like bright colours, I am leaning towards either white or wooden stools. If I can’t fix my current barstools, I might have to shell out for some new ones.
