DIY: Collingwood Wristlets and Free Pattern

The Collingwood Wristlets pattern is the perfect project for a beginner trying out double pointed needles (dpn) for the first time. The wristlets are designed as a matching set with the Collingwood Cowl. I used the same Northern Bay Fibres hand dyed wool in Celebrate!

With dpn projects with two separate pieces (socks, gloves, or wristlets, in this case), there is always a risk that I finish the first piece and avoid making the second piece.  Usually this happens when the first piece is really difficult or time-consuming. This will not be the case with this project as the first wristlet knit up so quickly that I was eager to start on the second.

  1. What a pretty yarn color! I always wait until it’s cold to start on winter projects and then wish I’d started in July.
